Monday, May 14

 

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

Members will declare May 16, 2012 Dr. John B. Bastyr Day in King County

 

 

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
  • An ordinance authorizing an interlocal agreement between the Port of Seattle and King County for emergency medical services (Ordinance 2012-0120).

King County Flood Control District—Immediately following meeting County Council meeting ***Special Meeting***

 

Supervisors will discuss and possibly act on:

  • A resolution adopting a revised 2012 budget, capital budget, operating budget, and six year capital improvement program for 2012 – 2017; and amending resolution FCD2011-06.3 (Resolution FCD2012-02).
  • A resolution authorizing King County to enter into an agreement with the City of Snoqualmie on behalf of the King County Flood Control Zone District to provide the City funding for the purposes of acquiring properties from willing landowners consistent with flood protection and control purposes (Resolution FCD2012-03).
  • A resolution authorizing the expenditure of King County Flood Control District funds on cooperative watershed management arrangements and actions for purposes of water quality and water resource and habitat protection and management (Resolution FCD2012-07).
  • A resolution relating to the Boeing levee improvements in the City of Kent, repealing resolution FCD2011-15.1, and authorizing the chair to enter into a grant agreement with the State of Washington Department of Ecology (Resolution FCD2012-05).

Tuesday, May 15

 

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance authorizing a thirty-year use agreement with Kent Youth Soccer Association for the use, development and construction of two synthetic turf soccer fields located at Petrovitsky Park (Ordinance 2012-0084).

Briefing:
  • The 2012 King County Comprehensive Plan (Briefing No. 2012-B0045).

Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 1:30 p.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
  • Executive’s proposed 2013 Sewer Rate and Capacity Charge (Ordinance 2012-0144).
  • An ordinance making supplemental appropriations to various general and non-general fund agencies and amending the 2012/2013 Biennial Budget Ordinance (Ordinance 2012-0184).

  • An ordinance adopting an update to the Strategic Plan for Public Transportation 2011-2021 (Ordinance 2012-0181).
  • A motion accepting the King County Metro Transit 2011 Service Guidelines Report (Motion 2012-0129).

Thursday, May 17

Board of Health – 1:30 p.m.

 

Board members are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

  • A resolution supporting the inclusion of health-related best practices in state standards for child care (Resolution No. 12-05).
  • A resolution recognizing May 31 as World No Tobacco Day (Resolution No. 12-06).
