An Enumclaw man was charged with incest and sexual misconduct with a minor earlier this month.

Michael Paul George was arrested June 31 by Enumclaw police after allegedly admitting to sexually assaulting a relative, according to court documents.

During a police interview, video footage of sexual assault was provided as evidence.

George was brought to the police department for an interview later that afternoon; after being informed that he was not free to leave, he allegedly admitted to some of the sexual assaults described by his relative.

George has been officially charged with incest in the first degree and two counts of second degree sexual misconduct with a minor; he has pleaded not guilty.

He is currently on electronic home detention in the Enumclaw area due to his various medical needs that cannot be provided in detention.

The charges against George are only allegations, and he is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
