Man drowns at Flaming Geyser

Multiple agencies, including a helicopter, attempted to rescue the victim, who died on scene.

A man died at Flaming Geyser State Park last Friday.

On Sept. 21, Puget Sound Fire reported over X that multiple agencies, including Mountain View Fire and Rescue and the Enumclaw Fire Department were on-scene for a river rescue at the park around 7 p.m.

However, despite the use of rescue swimmers, kayaks, and a Guardian One helicopter, the man, identified by the King County Medical Examiner as Juan Macias Martinez, 28, died at the scene, PSF posted at 8:20 p.m.
