Want to support EHS golf? Then ‘Crowd the Course’ this Thursday

The new, free event is aiming to showcase the Hornets’ power on the green.

The public is invited to a first-of-its-kind event this week, courtesy of the Enumclaw High boys golf program.

Coach Ryan Picinich has put together “Crowd the Course,” encouraging golf fans to witness the EHS squad in action. The event takes place between 3 and 5 p.m. on Oct. 3 at Enumclaw Golf Course, when the Hornets host Auburn Mountainview.

“We hope to have the biggest and most respectful gallery in Enumclaw history,” Picinich said. “Spectators will make it an epic event by allowing golfers space to concentrate and then applaud for each shot.”

There’s no charge to attend Crowd the Course. Guides will be on hand to direct spectators to the best viewing locations.

Enumclaw’s top players heading into the Thursday match are juniors Travis Leonard, Cole Kiblinger, Taelon Van Dam, Henry Bort and Parker Cook; sophomore Wyatt Webb; and freshman Max Craighead. Leonard leads the squad with a stroke average of 37.17.
