Bunderson makes soccer decision
Trinity Lutheran College head women’s soccer coach Daniel Hicker has begun putting together his 2012 roster with the recent commitment from Kayla Bunderson.
Bunderson, an Enumclaw native, was an all-conference first-team selection her junior year at Enumclaw High and currently plays for DOS Futbol Club Premier of the Washington State Regional Club League.
Aside from her continued athletic accomplishments, Bunderson has also been recognized for her academic perseverance as a WAIA Athlete Scholar, member of the National Honor Society and class honor roll.
“I am very excited to receive this commitment from Kayla. She is a wonderful person and player that will no doubt be a great addition to our program,” Hicker said.
Trinity Lutheran College is in Everett, Wash.
Junior Hornets suffer losses
It was a tough day for Enumclaw’s Junior Hornets as all five teams lost to the Tacoma Panthers at Pete’s Pool Saturday.
Jackson McCann and Tommy Baxter scored the fourth-grade team’s lone touchdowns in its 26-14 loss.
The sixth-grade team dropped its game 7-0.
Zak Carroll scored the seventh-grade’s touchdown in a 21-6 loss.
The eighth-grade team dropped its contest 24-12.
The Junior Hornets are on the road Saturday against the Raiders.
