Brown will speak Monday
A presentation by national award-winning speaker Bruce Brown on the role of parents in athletics is planned for 7 p.m. Monday in the Enumclaw High School auditorium.
Brown gives a straightforward message to parents and coaches about how adults can help improve student athletic performance, create good memories and demonstrate respect from the perspective of young people.
Brown, a 2008 John Wooden Wall of Honor recipient, has presented to more than 400,000 people since 2002. He has been a teacher and coach at the junior high, high school, junior college and college level for 35 years.
Also the 2002 NAIA National Athletic Director of the Year, Brown has written 11 books and 13 coaching booklets and produced 12 instructional and character-based coaching DVDs.
Enumclaw High Athletic Director Tim Tubbs is encouraging coaches and parents of middle and high school athletes to be a part of the free event.
