After clinching its second consecutive South Puget Sound League 3A title with a 71-43 drubbing of a young but spunky Enumclaw bunch Friday night, the 14-2 White River girls basketball squad was named the SPSL 3A’s No. 1 seed for its subdistrict rendezvous with the Seamount League’s top group – the undefeated Kennedy Catholic crew – Friday beginning 7:30 p.m. at Foster High.
The No. 1-ranked Class 3A boys basketball squad Enumclaw High sprinkled a little more sugar on its already sweet 16 consecutive South Puget Sound League 3A victory Friday night before a packed house at White River as it relished going undefeated, 20-0, on the league campaign and in topping its cross-river nemesis White River 75-46.
The Enumclaw High boys basketball squad is still ranked No. 1 in the state with an untarnished 14-0 South Puget Sound League 3A mark and clinched its third straight SPSL 3A title Thursday night with a dramatic 44-43 road victory over its nearest competition, the Lakes Lancers.
The Enumclaw High girls basketball bunch fell to 2-12 on the nearly-completed season when they visited Auburn Mountainview Feb. 2 and lost 61-29.
