East Pierce Fire and Rescue firefighters and volunteers with the Muscular Dystrophy Association once again collected money for families affected by muscular dystrophy.
Every 40 seconds, someone in the United States has a stroke. Strokes are the fifth leading cause of death in the nation. There were 2,089 stroke deaths in Washington alone in 2014, making it the sixth leading cause of death in the state.
