For the tenth year in a row the Beautify Bonney Lake event took place on Sept. 21.
About 500 volunteers spent roughly three hours working throughout Bonney Lake. There were three major projects the event focused on, executive director Lillian McGinnis said.

The Bonney Lake Panthers won their second game of the season beating the Enumclaw Hornets 14-7 Friday at Pete’s Pool.
Undefeated seasons don’t happen often, Sumner’s boy’s tennis coach Chris Heacox said. But that’s exactly what the Spartans did during the 2013-2014 season, they went undefeated 12-0.
The Panthers take on the Hornets at 7 p.m. tonight at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

Sumner was quick to score and took a 17-0 lead in the second with 8:40 to play in the half.
The Bonney Lake Panthers won its first game of the season 38-19 Thursday on the road against the Decatur Gators.
Decatur was quick to score, taking a 7-0 lead less than two minutes into the game.
The Panthers struggled in the first half with penalties and turnovers when it looked like Bonney Lake’s offense was building momentum.
Bonney Lake senior Kash Koltermann and his younger brother sophomore Curtis have played sports since they were little.
Kash said their dad is the one who got them into playing sports.
“They have always had awesome support from home,” Bonney Lake golf coach JD Rushton said. “Their dad is at every match. You don’t see that often.”
The White River Education Foundation will host its third annual fundraising event October 26.
Bonney Lake Panthers beat Lakes 69-47 on Oct. 10 at High Cedars Golf Club. The Panthers finish the season 7-3 and 2nd in the SPSL.
The medalist was Harrison Bragg from Lakes with 2 over par.
