As most of you who read this column know, besides working for the best company in the world, working in my yard, painting a picture and herding my cats, I love to attend as many shows and performances as I can depending what my schedule allows. I attended a fantastic concert by Cascade Foothills Chorale at the White River High School theater June 11. Those tunes really brought back memories and I could tell the chorale was having a blast on stage.
I have performed with some extraordinary youngsters and adults and hope to continue to do so in the future. Recently, I ran into Katelin Wilson and her lovely mother at Enumclaw’s QFC after work. Katelin is a freshman at Enumclaw High School, has performed in five shows with Stage Door Productions and is a true performing arts champion.
Artists are the skydivers of creativity. It is an adrenalin rush to create! Like masonry masters enjoy building homes of brick, artists create works of art though the written word, music, dance and more.

The holiday season and 2010 are nearing to a close as Jan. 1, 2011, is about to usher us into a new year of living with shared challenges of supporting our families, maintaining our health and hopefully giving our children examples of how to conduct themselves as real contributors to society.
