Sarah Bell dreamed of starting a salon with her sisters. At one time, all three were studying massage, cosmetology or to be an aesthetician.
In November, Bell opened Salon La Bell at 1756 Watson St. N., next to Frankie’s Pizza in Enumclaw.
“In French it means the beautiful, but I wanted to use my name because I read somewhere you should put your name on something to brand it.”
One of Bell’s sisters joined her in the dream – Debbie Tucker is Salon La Bell’s licensed massage therapist. Patsy Bolson, Katie Pogany and Chance Nolin, along with Bell, a stylist and makeup artist, have stations at the salon. All are Gene Juarez graduates and Bolson is a colorist specialist.
The salon offers cut, color, lash and hair extensions, spa treatment, manicure, airbrush makeup and more.
Bell said her group of stylists have a big heart for community service. She’s trying to get the word out that Salon La Bell would like to offer complimentary washes and cuts to assisted living residents and those in need.
“Both myself and the staff are passionate about giving back,” she said.
Salon La Bell will host its grand opening from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, where visitors can drop in for dessert and complimentary hairstyles, mini-manicures, mini-massages and more.
Regular appointments can be made between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome and prices are comparable to those in the area, Bell said.
