Appreciates Hurst’s stand against gutting I-960

I appreciate Rep. Chris Hurst’s letter in regards to his party taking the voter approved I-960, throwing it around like a beach ball at a drug-induced concert, then rubbing it into the ground and urinating on it (not Rep. Hurst’s words).

I appreciate Rep. Chris Hurst’s letter in regards to his party taking the voter approved I-960, throwing it around like a beach ball at a drug-induced concert, then rubbing it into the ground and urinating on it (not Rep. Hurst’s words). Now, the voter approved Initiative 960 is dead and the party that killed it controls every level of government in this state and they are slobbering at the mouth to impose taxes on the evil people that work for a living. I also appreciate that Rep. Hurst voted against killing I-960. His fiscally-conservative attitude is why I voted for Rep. Hurst.

Unfortunately, our governor is more than eager to sign these tax increases despite saying during her campaign that no legislator proposes a tax increase during bad economic times. The bottom line is this: the only way to stop this onslaught of a government money grab is to change the numbers. The Democrats control the House and Senate. A Republican majority in the state House and state Senate is the only way to stop it.

I have not been a fan of the Washington state Republicans because they mirrored the national Republicans in their fecklessness in regards to conservative principles and their eagerness to out-Democrat the Democrats. However, there are not enough so called “blue dog” Democrats to stop the Seattle liberal Democrats from imposing their will. So, more Republicans is the only answer.

That being said, I call on Rep. Chris Hurst to switch his party affiliation to Republican so the numbers in Olympia can begin to change and hopefully, the Republicans can at least be a majority in one house, if not both houses of the Legislature.

Can you all say, “State income tax”?
