I am writing this letter in order to encourage boys in Enumclaw to consider joining Boy Scouts.
I have participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for over ten years.
I have learned lessons of responsibility, survival, first aid, personal management, leadership, working with others, and other important life skills throughout these years.
One of my favorite experiences was a 50 mile backpacking trip which took place over the summer of 2015. It really enforced the importance of managing one’s self, including managing food, water, supplies, and setting up camp every day.
Troop 422 here in Enumclaw has taught me these things, and it has allowed me to be able to incorporate these things into my own life.
I would recommend Boy Scout Troop 422 and Scouting in general because it gives great opportunities for life skills, future jobs, and overall having a good time.
