Reading Jon Buss’ screed (“Finally — a win for America”, published Nov, 27) caused me to laugh out loud. His President Elect, the 34-times convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, received less than 50% of the cotes cast in an election remarkable for its biased media coverage and social media interference. He closes his letter crowing that the Democratic Party has not taken the actions that the (former) Grand Old Party historically has. I picture Jon as the winner of a knock down, drag-out great ape fight: pounding his chest proudly for all the tribe to see.

He is thrilled to watch as his hero tears down the stabilizing aspects of our shared reality. Does he also rub his hands in glee as rape culture takes root in our schools? For that is the final, and foreseeable result of removing equal treatment for all from our schools. More potholes and the attendant damage to his vehicle excites him? Sending his grandchildren to work less safe factory jobs, or working in fields to harvest our food crops as our immigrant work force is removed and labor laws weakened?

And where, pray tell, has his “LGBTQ mafia” been charging payola and assaulting those who don’t bend the knee? Jon, step back from the interwebs, go touch some grass and breathe some clean air while it’s still possible. You have been hoodwinked, but the reality will manifest soon enough. Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride.
