The state of Washington is experiencing a $13 billion deficit. That’s billion with a B. The people to blame for this is fairly easy to figure out. It is the Democrats. They control this State from top to bottom. From Jay Inslee to Bob Ferguson and all the lawmakers in Olympia, they caused this.
I guess the hundreds of millions in new taxes over the last two years isn’t enough for them. We get screwed by being forced to pay more to heat our homes and fill our gas tanks but they get to roll around in a windfall of cash.
I guess we should be happy that they are spending millions of dollars to “Trump proof” this state, millions to pay for illegal aliens healthcare and food, millions on DEI indoctrination in schools and hundreds of millions making the weather better with their delusional climate nonsense.
One of the many things I have learned in my 58 years is that Democrats are horrible with your money. Democrats believe that taxing and spending is the way to prosperity. Democrats don’t know how to define what a tax cut is. Democrats love to raise taxes. Democrats will avoid cutting the size of government. Obviously we need a DOGE type agency for Washington.
Believe me when I say, Democrats will raise taxes to get out of this budget crisis. They may talk of cutting government, but it’s just lip service. They will blame Trump for this deficit and not their own mental illness in the way they govern. Keep in mind, they don’t have a revenue problem, they have a spending problem.
These tax increases will cause more tax paying people to move out of the state and this will reduce revenue (like Jay Inslee moving to Idaho to avoid his tax increases). Then, with Washington’s generous welfare system, more welfare recipients will continue to move here to collect government checks, which will cause the deficit to go higher.
It’s not going to get better until the voters in Washington have a paradigm shift. Until then, hang onto your wallets because Democrats are looking to steal money from you to pay for their delusional pet projects.
