On Saturday, Dec. 5, I attended Black Diamond Elementary School PTA’s outstanding craft bazaar. Vendors were packed in the gym selling everything from gorgeous purses, garden art to crocheted hat and scarves. Lorraine Howard did an amazing job organizing this event for the second year. The bazaar raised a little over $1,800 for the PTA.
In addition, the PTA recently hosted a free community Thanksgiving dinner, which had a big turnout. Now the Black Diamond PTA is having a bake sale during the elementary school’s holiday concerts, Dec. 17. The bake sale money is being donated to the Lakewood Officers families. Last year the bake sale raised $1,000.
The Black Diamond PTA is working hard and doing great things for our area and beyond. We’re so lucky to have such committed volunteers in our community.
