Editor’s note: This letter was sent to President Donald Trump on May 26, 2020. Additionally, the European Union is considered a representative democracy.
Dear President Trump,
Thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to read my letter.
I believe that irresponsible spending on Capital Hill has caused the national debt to skyrocket and is sure to balloon completely out of control with the Democrat’s newest economic spending proposals. This is a direct and dire threat to our country.
As Americans, it is incumbent upon us to ensure the continued wellbeing and sovereignty of our nation. We owe this to future generations, as well as those who have gone before us.
To all the generations of Americans who independent spirit made this country great. Americans who, in cooperations with many nations, stood in defiance of tyranny and saved the world from evil in WWI and WWII.
To the founding fathers, who, although they were flawed men, drafted our Constitution and Bill of Rights, making our government accountable to the people and guaranteed us freedoms, privileges, and rights afforded to no other people anywhere on earth.
If America is allowed to falter, these will be lost to the world.
A good example of this is the European Union. The individual countries may have some form of democracy, but the leaders of the EU are not voted into office and cannot be voted out of office by the people in member countries.
As such, they are not accountable or answerable to those they govern, This is a modern-day form of the European monarchy system, the elite privileged few ruling over the many, a system that has plagued the world from ancient times with the insanity of conquest and continual warfare up to, and through most of, the 20th century.
Mr. President, it is with these things in mind that I am respectfully returning my Economic Impact Payment on the condition that it be applied directly to the principle of the national debt.
God bless everyone in this world, and God bless America.
