David Cannon’s column, “The (Ultra) Right Stuff” and Dan Shannon’s column, “The Smartest Man in the Phone Booth”, have a lot in common — they both usually start out with reasonable information and then somewhere along the line they drift off into opinions with very little regard to actual facts.
Maybe it’s because they seem to keep getting truth, i.e., their truth, confused with facts. Yes David, facts, verified by innumerable fact checkers, not like 1984, which is actually the very thing that you seem to be trying to do in your columns, spreading B.S. disguised as candy in the hopes that some will eat it up.
Hunter Biden’s computer, where to begin: many sources, including FOX News have examined the evidence on his computer and none have found any evidence of Joe Biden’s involvement in any of Hunter’s wrongdoing, which was mostly tax evasion. In fact the FBI was very suspicious of the possibility of Russian involvement in the contents of that computer.
Really David, farmers know the difference between male and female, that’s your argument against gender mis-identification? Medical school instructors forced to teach that either sex can bear children? What have you been smoking? The facts are that approximately 7 percent of the population is gay and less than one percent are transgender — you can look that up.
Also, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, while being the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court, had spent more time on the federal bench than four of the current sitting justices combined, which makes her more qualified than anyone Trump appointed.
You seem to be labeling yourself “The Ministry of Truth” with all of your outrageous claims with no basis whatsoever in fact. And David, if you have lived in this country all of your life, you and all of the other citizens of this country have been the beneficiary of Democratic socialism just like every other successful democratic country in the world — all of the services provided by our federal, state and local government are examples of it.
Where you even get it in your head that socialism has anything to do with breaking apart families so the state can fill that role. What??
The only things that we agree on in your whole column is that the family unit has worked well, that we should teach good principles, and belief in God strengthens family, even though I don’t share those beliefs myself.
Oh, and you might want to try Costco’s apple pie. Just sayin’.
