Recently the Democrats sent out a news release that Republican Dino Rossi’s real estate partnership allegedly owes $20,000 in back property taxes on some holdings. Of course, the idea is to smear him should he decide to run against Sen. Patty Murray. What they forget is if that if the allegation is true, Rossi could be a prime candidate for the Obama cabinet.

Work for term limits and vote out the incumbents.

Socialism is evil in every country in invades

Michael Bowler’s letter (Courier-Herald, April 21) helped make Mr. DeVol’s point. It is a fact, the result of the passage of the healthcare bill, hundreds of companies will lose millions of dollars. Mr. Bowler calls it a papar loss, which is what our money is made of, but point being, every American invested in these companies loses money also.

I don’t know about double-dipping but the government gave companies permission to do so. Having read many of Mr. DeVol’s letters, I’m sure he would like the government officials to not play favoritism to corporate donors of their elections.

Mr. Bowler goes on to say socialism is: government’s roll in laws that provide clean air, safe drinking water, police, firemen and so on. This is a pleasant argument the left uses to persuade the younger generation that socialism is so wonderful. I am old enough to know what socialism is. It is evil and destructive to every country it invades.

Lastly, Mr. Bowler is confused that mere days after the signing of the healthcare bill, Mr. DeVol states not enough time has expired for many effect to be seen. Mr. Bowler is further confused of the truth that after over one year of extensive healthcare bill coverage by the media, it is not enough time for informed Americans to “hate this bill.”

My only confusion would be: how could that many Americans be against this after all the accolades given to it by the mainstream media?

Could it be informed Americans do not want 16 percent more socialism?
