In an apparent attempt at humor (Here’s praise for the beautiful, Courier-Herald, Oct. 6) Daniel Nash seems to be hoping that no one will notice his PC support for the Ground Zero mosque and he is legally correct when he says that the “right” to build the mosque is a no-brainier. However like the rest of the PC media (he) refuses to allow a closer look at the imam who plans to place a “trophy mosque” at ground zero, a mosque whose completion date just happens to be Sept. 11, 2011. Why do we hear nothing but peons of support for the submission mosque but journalists say nothing about the Christian church, destroyed by the 9/11 attacks that the city of New York has refused to allow to be rebuilt because of zoning issues? Oh, right, just Christians, pardon me.
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the face of the 9/11 mosque, has numerous ties to CAIR, unindicted co-conspirator in the USA vs. Hamas funding case. Rauf refuses to allow that Muslims perpetrated 9/11 or that Hamas is a terrorist organization and that CAIR has globally brought numerous legal cases to intimidate anyone that dare criticize Islam. He also has openly stated that it was Christians that started mass attacks on civilians and other U.S. policies were “accessory to the crimes that happened” i.e. 9/11.
Rauf created the “Sharia Index.” This purports to measure how closely countries follow Sharia, or Islamic law. In other words how close is his dream of the flag of Islam flying over the White House while the Constitution is burned on the front steps. The mosque is to be called “Cordoba House,” which Muslims like to refer to the city of Cordoba in Spain, a place where their rule reached a glorious peak centuries ago and Christians and Jews were systematically oppressed and slaughtered at whim. Rauf floats an image to the gullible media in the U.S. of a harmonious, pleasant Islam. A face that is totally disconnected from Islam’s actual history of bloody conquest, enslavement and humiliation of other people — which he never acknowledges.
In 1965, funding from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Libya helped Rauf’s father secure two-thirds of the block at 96th Street and 3rd Avenue in New York. Rauf withheld funding information about the Islamic donors until 1984. In fact, all 46 Islamic nations have helped financed NY’s 96th street mosque. Perhaps this explains Rauf’s current refusal to explain who is funding the Ground Zero mosque.
These Islamic-ruled nations support demands that the Koran dictate that everyone, especially non-Muslims, must ultimately live under Sharia, the law of Islam, without recourse to civic institutions like our Constitution or courts of law. The West is facing an ideology at odds with democratic beliefs. Thus, Sharia law contradicts the American Constitution just as the Cairo Declaration of Human Rights flatly contradicts the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
This is going to be a long and bloodily war, but apparently Mr. Nash has already surrendered.
