The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will replace old culverts and fix worn roads in the Blanchard Forest Block in Skagit County beginning May 6 through, approximately, July 1. Construction will take place Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The road will be open to recreation use Friday through Sunday. Closures will be periodic and can be tracked through DNRs blog and social media sites.
During the weekday construction, the public can expect intermittent road closures for up to 10 hours and up to 20-minute delays otherwise. The Blanchard Lower Trailhead will be accessible throughout the process, allowing for trail access.
