Maris Farms’ annual Baby Animals and Blooms Days celebrates everything spring; the family-friendly farm has tons of equipment for children to play on, plus the opportunity to pet baby animals and take pictures in a tulip field.

And, at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., everyone gathers in the far field in anticipation of the Candy Cannon, which launches up to 40 pounds of candy into the air, prompting a mad dash of kids (and some adults) to get the tastiest treats.

The event continues this weekend, April 30 and May 1, as well as May 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
