Parents watched proudly as their children participated in a kids parade held Sunday in downtown Sumner.

The skies were overcast and rain eventually began to fall, but that didn’t stop dozens of youngsters from enjoying the event and smiling faces were seen walking and riding down the street alongside Heritage Park.

A miniature train carried some passengers and others were on bicycles. There were even some four-legged canine friends joining in.

Following the parade, the crowd gathered around the rotunda in the park and prizes of candy were given to kids who donned costumes.
