While the pandemic has put a pause on certain fundraisers for Plateau Outreach Ministries, it hasn’t prevented the opportunity to GiveBig!
On May 4 and 5, show your support and help the local organization in their goal to raise $40,000 to support vital community needs. Even better? Thanks to generous donations from the James R. & Betty L. Puttman and Peter R. and Joan M. Richter Family Trust, your donations are actually doubled this year!
Every donation up to $10,000 will be matched, helping your contributions reach further as you partner with Plateau Outreach Ministries in compassionately serving the community.
A single source for those hoping to move out of crisis, Plateau Outreach Ministries provides services and essentials such as food, clothing, vouchers for utilities, rent and prescriptions, in addition to individual case management services tailored to each person’s unique needs.
“This year, the need for our services continues to grow as the pandemic has exacerbated the situation for many in our community,” notes Elisha-Smith Marshall, Executive Director at Plateau Outreach Ministries. “That’s why this year we have the biggest fundraising goal to date, and we’re really hoping the community can come together to support those who need it most.”
So, what does it mean to GiveBig?
By donating to the GiveBig initiative, you’re standing alongside the thousands in your community who need support. You’re helping provide them with necessities, offering peace of mind, you’re keeping them warm with utility assistance and you’re providing them safety through rental assistance. With a simple click of a button and a small gift, you’re making an impact greater than you know.
Within their passion to serve, Plateau Outreach Ministries also responds to clients’ spiritual, physical and emotional needs. Valuing the dignity of all individuals, they promote church community involvement and also support and help those in need regardless of faith, age, gender, gender identity, LGBTQA+, ethnicity or national origin.
“Every donation goes directly to client services. So whether you’re able to donate your money, time or belongings – every last bit helps,” Marshall explains.
