11-year-old driving car, father arrested | Enumclaw Police

After hearing of a vehicle being driven by a child, police responded at 10:49 p.m. July 9 to the vicinity of Warner Avenue and Semanski Street.

KID DRIVER: After hearing of a vehicle being driven by a child, police responded at 10:49 p.m. July 9 to the vicinity of Warner Avenue and Semanski Street. They stopped a vehicle being driven by an 11-year-old boy and found the boy’s father sitting in the back seat. The boy’s mother was called to pick up her children. The father was taken into custody and booked into jail, while the vehicle was impounded.

TWO ARRESTED: Police took a report at 1:49 a.m. July 9 regarding an unwanted subject at a Fell Street address. Officers responded and wound up arresting two women, one for third-degree theft and the other on an Enumclaw warrant. Both were taken to the city jail.

TRAFFIC OK: An officer responded the morning of July 9 to the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Watson Street, after hearing a report that traffic control was inadequate at a construction site, creating a hazard. The officer determined that lane marking was adequate.
