3.0 magnitude earthquake hits Greenwater

The shake was recorded to be more than five miles underground.

A 3.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Greenwater area yesterday, Feb. 18.

According to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, the earthquake hit Lester, a ghost town just west of Greenwater, about 9:54 a.m.

It was recorded to be about 5.3 miles (8.71 kilometers) underground.

A shake map shows light shaking at the epicenter. It appears unlikely any activity was felt inside the city of Enumclaw, though the eastern outskirts may have experienced a little shaking.
