The Courier-Herald will feature profiles on senior citizens four times during 2009. The special page, titled “Eighty to 100,” will appear in both the Enumclaw and Bonney Lake/Sumner editions April 29, July 29, September 30 and Dec. 30 – the months that have a fifth Wednesday.
We’re counting on you, our readers, to help fill the pages with accounts and anecdotes from deserving senior citizens…anyone between 80 and 100 years of age.
To make this as personal as possible, we’re hoping there are some friends or family members out there you would jump at the opportunity to tell a story about their loved one.
The rules are pretty simple. Just tell us what has made for an interesting life – whether it’s a job, family or other passion. Our older citizens have a perspective on life that’s important for all to learn. If the senior has spent a lifetime in our readership area, even better.
Ideally, there will be some photographs to include with the story and share with the community.
If you would like to submit an article just call Editor Kevin Hanson at 360-802-8205 as soon as possible. We realize the timing is tight, but articles will need to be received by noon April 23 to appear in the April 29 edition.
