ACCIDENT ASSIST: An off-duty Buckley officer, while on the way to work, observed a multiple-car collision in the vicinity of state Routes 410 and 162. The officer helped clear the roadway and stood by until a Washington State Patrol trooper arrived.

DRUNK DRIVER: Police stopped a vehicle at 2:05 a.m. June 14 at the intersection of state Route 410 and Jefferson Avenue after observing multiple violations. The driver, a 33-year-old Buckley man, was found to be driving under the influence and was booked into the Fife jail.

CLIENT RETURNED: Officers were dispatched at 9:23 p.m. June 14 to the vicinity of Ryan and Spiketon roads, where a 23-year-old woman was in need of assistance. It was determined she was a client at Rainier School; she was returned to the facility without incident.

ARREST WARRANTS: Police stopped a driver the evening of June 12 for speeding on Mason Avenue. The 40-year-old Bonney Lake resident was driving with a suspended license and, also, was wanted on two misdemeanor arrest warrants. He was booked into the Fife jail.

SHOPLIFTING: Officers were dispatched the afternoon of June 11 to a shoplifting incident at a business on state Route 410. A 64-year-old woman admitted to taking merchandise; she was arrested, issued a criminal citation and released without incident.
