STOLEN GPS: Officers made contact with a man in the lobby who reported his car was prowled. The man said the only item missing was his son’s GPS wristband. According to the male, he only knew it was missing because he received a notification that it was turned on somewhere in the vicinity of Allan Yorke Park. The male said he would update officers with more information if the GPS was turned on again.
BIG COMMOTION: Officers received a call of about a group males in the roadway yelling and making threats on May 31. While en route, dispatch advised the males were getting into two black cars and one white car that were blocking the roadway. When officers arrived on the scene they found a group of eight teenaged males and one teenaged female, recognizing one of the males from an earlier traffic stop. This male claimed a female assaulted him and wanted her arrested and refused to comply with officer’s orders to move toward their vehicles and out of the street. Officers eventually placed him in handcuffs. According to the other teenagers, they were driving to a friend’s house when they made a wrong turn when one of the female reporting parties yelled at a driver to slow down. The teenagers told officers that the male now in handcuffs started yelling back and the female appeared to hit or slap him several times. Officers approached the female, who told officers her daughter was riding her bike in the road when the cars were driving down, which was when she yelled at them to slow down. She denied striking the teenaged male. Both parties agreed to apologize to each other and declined to press charges.
