Black Diamond Elementary School PTA will host its first Family Fitness Day April 2 at the school’s ball field.

The event will feature Teddy Herrera from Elk Grove, Calif., who is completing an 11,000-mile bike ride across the United States on behalf of Across America for Childhood Obesity. Herrera will present an assembly to BDE students Friday and again Saturday at the event. The Family Fitness event involves an obstacle run/walk for all ages.
