MANY CHARGES: July 9, an officer who had been investigating earlier car prowls in the area was able to identify a suspect linked to several of the thefts. During the investigation, it was determined the suspect, a 21-year-old male, had also committed four residential burglaries where $35,000 worth of jewelry and two guns were stolen. He had also committed two vehicle prowls where $20,000 worth of property was taken. All the property had been pawned at local pawn shops. He has been charged with first-degree burglary, residential Burglary, second-degree theft, theft of a firearm, vehicle prowling and trafficking stolen property in the first degree.
INTOXICATED: A vehicle was seen July 10 crossing the center line and traveling into oncoming traffic on Baker Street. Upon contact with the male driver, the officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol. The driver admitted to drinking and a field sobriety test showed him to be impaired. His blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit. He was booked into the Buckley jail.
MINOR CHARGED: At approximately 11 p.m. July 10, officers were dispatched to a suspicious noise of yelling and screaming in the area of Buena Vista Drive. Upon arrival, a male juvenile ran to the officers and appeared to be intoxicated. He admitted to have been drinking and while speaking with the officers became argumentative. Officers located a fake identification and cited him for being a minor in possession of alcohol and possession of another person’s identification. He was booked into the Enumclaw jail.
