The Puget Sound Blood Center will host a blood drive Monday, July 28, in the Rainier Conference Room at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Staff will see donors from noon to 6 p.m., taking a break from 2 to 2:45.
Donors may sign up by visiting www.psbc.org. Walk-in donors also will be seen, around the scheduled appointments.
During the summer months the accident rate increases 20 percent due to people being more active and a higher number of accidents occurring. Meanwhile the number of blood donations decreases in summer, making it a struggle to maintain an ample supply.
Donations at blood drives like Monday’s event allow the PSBC to maintain a stable blood supply.
St. Elizabeth Hospital is at 1455 Battersby Ave. in Enumclaw.
