High temperatures have increased demands on the Bonney Lake water system.

The city of Bonney Lake is asking customers to conserve water and has placed water conservation signs throughout the city.

During the hot summer days, the city asks residents to refrain from watering lawns, washing cars and other activities that use excessive amounts of water.

The city water system serves an area on the Plateau generally from Rhodes Lake Road on the south to the north Pierce County line. It provides water to approximately 30,000 people and 11,907 connections. The large majority of the city water customers are residential.

Grainger Springs, Victor Falls Springs, Tacoma Point Well Field and Ball Park Well provide the water supply for the city.
