The Bonney Lake Chamber of Commerce has made a few changes with the coming of the new year.
Last year, the chamber hosted its monthly luncheons at the Windermere office in Bonney Lake. In 2010, luncheons will be at the Swiss Sportsmen’s Club, 9205 198th Ave. E.
“We are looking forward to having our monthly luncheon at the hidden ‘little gem’ in the middle of Bonney Lake,” Executive Director Laura Butterfield said, citing amenities like a large banquet room, full-size kitchen and plenty of parking.
The first luncheon at the Swiss Sportsmen’s Club will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
The guest speaker is David Wells, special events coordinator for the city of Bonney Lake. He will share all of the city events planned for 2010.
Butterfield said the chamber will also unveil its new Web site and show members how they can use the Web site to help their business grow.
She said the chamber will announce the speaker topics for the remaining luncheons this year.
“We are focusing our 2010 luncheon topics on ways that members can make money or save money for their business,” she said.
Luncheons are free to attend; there is a $7 charge for lunch with a reservation and $10 without a reservation. Meetings are open to all chamber members, as well as those interested in chamber membership.
Butterfield said the chamber’s network meetings will be at Zato Grill instead of the chamber office at Harborstone Credit Union. The meetings are from 8 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday.
Zato Grill is at 20609 state Route 410 E.
The chamber is seeking nominations for the annual “Citizen of the Year” award. Send nominations to the Bonney Lake Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 7171, Bonney Lake, 98391. For information, call 253-222-5945.
