A series of classic movies begins Jan. 11 at the Bonney Lake Pierce County Library.
The Friends of the Bonney Lake Library sponsor the series and movie showings are Mondays at 6 p.m.
“Walk, Don’t Run” is the first in the series, showing on Jan. 11. The 1966 romantic comedy starring Cary Grant takes place in the milieu of the Tokyo Olympics.
On Feb. 8 the 1954 film “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” starring Jane Powell is presented.
“Easter Parade” a 1948 Irving Berlin musical starring Judy Garland and Fred Astaire shows March 15.
The original version of “Sabrina,” starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart and William Holden plays at the library on April 19.
The 1942 musical “Yankee Doodle Dandy” starring James Cagney in an Oscar-winning lead performance, shows on May 17. The movie is the 100th greatest American movie according to a 1998 list by the American Film Institute.
