A jury trial stemming from the Jan. 16 crash that killed two Enumclaw boys concluded Tuesday morning in a Pierce County courtroom.

Jayme Lynn Davis, 42, was found not guilty. The Bonney Lake woman had been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide.

Davis and her sons had attended a monster truck show at the Tacoma Dome the night of the accident. Not far from the Dome, in the 2100 block of Tacoma’s Bay Street, Davis’ car skipped a concrete barrier; the vehicle was hit by one car and spun before a sport utility vehicle slammed into the car broadside.

Prosecutors alleged Davis was impaired at the time of the crash. Three hours after the accident, her blood-alcohol level registered .07, slightly below the legal limit of .08.

Killed in the accident were Jared and Jordan Davis. Jared, 8, was a third-grade student and Jordan, 11, was a fifth-grader at the time of the crash. Both attended Kibler Elementary School.

There was an outpouring of sympathy from the local community in the days following the accident. A service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Enumclaw was followed by a reception in the Enumclaw High School commons. The reception was a joint effort of the Kibler Elementary School PTA, school staff and families, and Wolverines Junior Football.
