Bonney Lake Parks Appreciation Day set for April 24

Parks Appreciation Day is April 24 and this year’s plans include not only the city’s usual parks, but will also work on cleaning up the Washington State University demonstration forest. Volunteers from around the area and city will meet at 9 a.m. at parks around the city, but also at the new WSU trail head, located between Fred Meyer and Regal Cinemas on the south side of state Route 410.

Volunteers from around the area and city will meet at 9 a.m. at parks around the city, but also at the new WSU trail head, located between Fred Meyer and Regal Cinemas on the south side of state Route 410.

City staff and volunteers will also be working on a new rain garden in front of the Public Safety building on Sumner-Buckley Highway.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and rakes for the clean-up project.
