DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

• Police were notified May 14 at 11:04 p.m. of a domestic incident occurring in the 21500 block of 102nd Street. The responding officer arrived and heard a man and a woman yelling at each other and glass breaking outside a house. The officer advised other Bonney Lake units. When he approached the location with a sergeant he observed a 30-year-old male with no shirt on going toward the back door of the house and yelling, “Bonney Lake’s here!” The man did not respond to police officers’ order to freeze and ran inside the home, locking the door. Police observed some blood smeared on the back door. After knocking on the door with no answer, an officer threatened to kick the door down if it was not opened. A 29-year-old female opened the door. The 30-year-old male was contacted in the bathroom while he was washing the blood off. He admitted to drinking beer and became upset when asked to leave by the 29-year-old female, who was upset with him for going out and drinking. He cut his fingers on some of the glass from his vehicle when he began to deliberately damage it. East Pierce Fire and Rescue came to bandage his fingers.

The man stated he did not know who dialed 9-1-1 and said he and his 46-year-old wife had an argument earlier outside on the home’s deck. The wife allegedly threw a glass against the side of the home.
