An informal celebration of life, and a few trial updates

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Locals Dorothy Sleigh, who recently turned 90, and sister Mary Kell, who is turning 88 this month, are holding a “Celebration of Living” at the Buckley Eagles building (29021 WA 410) on Sept. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be food, and Sleigh and Kell will be telling stories of their life growing up in Enumclaw and present personal historical artifacts. No gifts, please.

SENTENCING UPDATE: The sentencing for Aaron Myers, who pled guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material, has been moved to Sept. 22.

TRIAL UPDATE: The trial of Brandon Tvedt, accused of vehicular homicide, has been moved to Oct. 30.

TRIAL UPDATE: The trial of Aaron Lincoln, accused of assault with a deadly weapon at the local Ryterra Quarry, has been moved from Sept. 5 to Oct. 23.
