Two Enumclaw brothers died following a Jan. 16 night automobile accident in Tacoma.
Jared Davis, 8, and 11-year-old Jordan Davis died after leaving a Monster Truck Show at the Tacoma Dome, according to Mark Fulghum, a spokesman for the Tacoma Police Department.
He said the boys’ mother, a 41-year-old Bonney Lake resident, was driving on Bay Avenue near the Emerald Queen Casino when her car went into oncoming traffic after crossing over a concrete lane divider. The vehicle was reportedly hit on the passenger side by a sport utility vehicle.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:35 p.m.
Fulgham said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
He confirmed the mother was arrested but has not been charged. That step in the process belongs to the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office.
Both boys attended Kibler Elementary School in Enumclaw, Jared in the third grade and Jordan in the fifth.
A funeral Mass took place Saturday, Jan. 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Enumclaw.
A reception followed at the Enumclaw High School commons.
