Members of the Buckley Kiwanis Club honored three young people as “Students of the Month” for the White River School District. Awards were given during the club’s May 21 meeting.

The following descriptions are provided by the Kiwanis Club.

• Jadyn Olson is a second grader at Elk Ridge Elementary. Jadyn is a very valuable volunteer at her school. She especially likes to work with special needs students. She helps at the bus stop and with the lunch program. Jadyn creates an atmosphere of inclusion for all students at her school. She is always willing to do whatever is asked of her.

• Maddie McRae is a student at Mountain Meadow Elementary. She is an exceptional student and a friend to everyone. Maddie tutors other students, works hard and is a role model for her classmates. She especially cares for animals and may have a career in this field.

• Ashlynn Qualey is a student at Wilkeson Elementary. Ashlynn is a quiet leader who leads by example and is involved in different activities at school and the community such as the track team, church and a horse program. Ashlynn helps her friends be good students.
