BUCKLEY POLICE BLOTTER

MOTOR ACCIDENT: At 3:44 p.m. Jan. 24, officers were dispatched to 112th Street East at Mundy Loss Road for a reported two-car non-injury motor vehicle collision blocking the road. On arrival, it was determined that a 73-year-old woman from South Prairie had failed to yield the right of way and subsequently struck a the vehicle of a 21-year-old man from Bonney Lake. An information exchange was completed and the woman was issued a notice of infraction. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: At 10:46 p.m. Jan. 24, a vehicle was stopped on state Route 410 at Jefferson Avenue because a Department of Licensing return indicated that the registered owner was suspended. The driver appeared to match the description of the registered owner. The driver was placed under arrest and the vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

ASSAULT: At 6:25 p.m. Jan. 26, a “highly intoxicated” 48-year-old woman claimed she was assaulted by a “highly intoxicated” 31-year-old male neighbor, in an argument over a water hose. The responding officer forwarded his report to the city prosecutor for review.

NO VALID LICENSE: At 11:57 p.m. Jan. 29 a vehicle was stopped for speeding on SR410 at the Lower Cemetery Road. The driver was a juvenile female with no driver’s license and no identification. She was placed under arrest and released to her mother.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: At 3:17 a.m. Jan. 30, an officer was dispatched to a South Pearl Street residence in response to a 911 hang-up. On arrival, a man was holding a woman in such a way that she would not hit him. Interviews with both subjects gave the officer enough information to arrest the female for domestic violence assault.
