DUI: At 4:17 a.m. March 14, officers were dispatched to a possible motor vehicle collision in the 800 block of North River Avenue. A 27-year-old man from Spanaway was taken into custody for driving under the influence and malicious mischief. He was issued a notice of infraction for no proof of insurance and a criminal citation for the other two offenses. He was later transported to the hospital for reasons unrelated to the collision.
OUTSIDE AGENCY WARRANT: An officer stopped a bicyclist for a lighting infraction at 1:28 a.m. March 16 on Main Street. The 22-year-old was found to have multiple arrest warrants. He was arrested and booked into Enumclaw Jail without incident on one of the warrants. His bicycle was taken to the police department and entered into evidence for safekeeping.
LICENSE SUSPENDED: At midnight March 16, an officer was sitting in the 28800 block of state Route 410 running vehicle plates when a Department of Licensing return indicated the owner of a vehicle was drivingwith a suspended license. The officer observed the driver matched the description of the suspended owner. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot and the officer verified the driver’s suspended status. He was placed under arrest, issued a citation and released on scene.
EXPIRED REGISTRATION: At 8:21 a.m. March 18, an officer patrolling Dundass Avenue observed a vehicle with registration that expired in 2009 parked in front of a residence. He also observed a motor home parked in the right of way that appeared to be lived in. The officer contacted the resident of the adjacent house and the resident said he would contact the registered owner and have both vehicles removed.
DUI: At 1:07 a.m. March 20, an officer observed a vehicle with a defective headlight exceeding the speed limit near the upper cemetery. The officer stopped the vehicle and asked the driver for a license, registration and proof of insurance. The driver handed the officer a Subway card. After performing a field sobriety test, he was arrested for driving under the influence and his vehicle was towed.
