Buckley-area residents are invited to a Sept. 21 public hearing that will address a proposal to turn a now-vacant 22-acre parcel into as many as 65 home sites.

The hearing, hosted by the city’s hearing examiner, begins at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Building. The session has been called so the city can obtain public input on a development named the Nanevicz Farm Subdivision.

The proposal calls for a neighborhood of single-family homes on acreage to the east of the Copperwynd development, at the end of Dieringer and Whitehouse avenues and north of Sergeant Street. Aside from a maximum of 65 lots, plans call for the development of one parcel of open space or a park. Also called for is the extension or creation of six roads.
