This year’s city of Enumclaw and King County Fair will not only Celebrate Homegrown by focusing on local artists, crafters, growers and 4-H, but it is also hosting an International Chili Society-sanctioned chili cook-off.
The cook-off will feature two different categories, red chili and salsa, and will be taking place from noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 14.
“Adding this cook-off to the event is another way to showcase the talents of the people in our community,” said Kristen Damazio, Expo Center events manager and cook-off chairwoman.
There will also be representation from area firehouses as they compete for the Firehouse Award.
Celebrate Homegrown will run Aug. 12-14 at the Enumclaw Expo.
