The Rev. Lori Bonkoski of Christ the King Lutheran Church of Sumner has announced the time and dates for holiday services.
The church will host a Christmas Eve worship service at 6 and 11 p.m. Dec. 24. The 6 p.m. service is designed for families with carols, candlelight and communion. The 11 p.m. service is more traditional with with carols, candlelight and communion.
The church is at 245 Valley Ave. E.
Another event, Bonkoski said, is a cooperative effort between Christ the King, First Christian Church and Sumner United Methodist Church for “Longest Night Service” beginning at 7 p.m. Dec. 21 at Sumner United Methodist, 901 Wood Ave.
She said a joint choir of the churches will sing and candles lit in remembrance of those who have died during the last year. Communion will take place during the service.
