Teen Challenge

fundraiser Friday

Calvary Community Church, 15116 Gary St. in Sumner, will host Teen Challenge’s annual fundraiser Friday.

An auction and espresso sale opens at 6, followed by a 7 p.m. dinner by Ram Catering and live entertainment by Jet City Improv.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the Seattle-Metro Teen Challenge Men’s Center.

Tickets are $30 each to cover the cost of the event.

Faulkner speaking at local church

Rick Faulkner, national field representative of the Spirit of Freedom Ministries, will present a special program on family alcoholism and drugs at 7 p.m. Sunday at the First Pentecostal Church of Puget Sound in Lake Tapps.

The meeting is open to the public and there is no obligation or admission.

During the meeting, Faulkner will give true accounts of men and women who have been delivered from alcoholism and drugs.

Faulkner’s group will introduce a new approach to family alcoholism and drug abuse. During the meeting, the group’s new CD, “Raised From The Ruins,” will focus on alcoholism.

Spirit of Freedom Ministries is a nonprofit, Christian organization based in New Orleans, and has been helping people since 1978. Visit www.sofm.org for information.
