Community skatepark design meeting tomorrow, Oct. 25

This is the first of two planned meetings between the public, the city, and Gridline Skateparks.

The Enumclaw community will be meeting with Gridline Skateparks tomorrow, Oct. 25, to discuss skate park designs.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

The skatepark closed last July; a child was injured while using one of the ramps, and the city deemed that it would be too costly to repair, if repairs could be made at all, and removed the ramps shortly after.

Gridline was contracted earlier this month to design the new park. The design work, which includes two community meetings, is expected to cost $57,000.

All community meetings and a final design are expected to be completed by mid-January 2023, and the city hopes to finish construction by June.
