The King County Elections office on Tuesday officially certified the results of the Nov. 6 election.

Here are the final local tallies:

In King County voting only, State Representative Cathy Dahlquist earned 11,318 votes, or 62.41 percent, to challenger Brian L. Gunn’s 6,782 votes, or 37.4 percent, to maintain her spot as a representative for the 31st District.

Fellow incumbent Christopher Hurst also retained his position. Hurst earned 10,430 votes, or 58.06 percent, to challenger Lisa Connors’s 7,497 votes, or 41.73 percent.

In Pierce County, Dahlquist earned 62.94 percent and Hurst earned 54.04 percent.

In the King County Sheriff’s Race, John Urquhart collected 422,014 votes, or 56.15 percent, compared to 324,689 votes, or 43.2 percent, for Steve Strachan.

And in Black Diamond, the change of government proposition officially failed, with only 40.74 percent, or 856 people, voting for the measure while 1,245 people, or 59.26 percent voted against.

In total, 976,400 ballots were counted in King County out of 1,170,638 registered voters, a turnout of 83.4 percent.

The Secretary of State will certify the election next week.
