Teenagers are invited to channel their creative energy into community outreach in the Crafting for a Cause group at Sumner Pierce County Library.

The group will knit, crochet and sew hats, scarves and blankets. The cloth items will then be donated to the families who need them most via local service organizations. Work in the group can count toward high school service hours requirements. All supplies are provided.

The group will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays from June 25 to August 13. The group will not meet Tuesday, July 9; it will instead meet Thursday, July 11.
